Brazil's Vale said it had resumed operations at its Totten nickel mine and was in the process of increasing production, following an incident in September 2021 that left 39 workers trapped in the mine and led to the closure of operations.
Vale sagði að lokunin hjá Totten hefði verið tekin inn í áætlanir fyrirtækisins fyrir 2022 fjárhagsárið og hefði engin áhrif á nikkelframleiðsluráðgjöf þess upp á 175,000 til 190,000 tonn.
